The first day in Senigallia was really intensive - we presented our schools, worked on the song, tried some new food, visited the Town Hall, had a tour round the city and walked along the beach.
On Tuesday went to Urbino, a pictoresque little town up in the mountains, where we visited a beautiful palace - Palazzo Ducale. It holds many unique works of art, the most precious of which is a portrait of a woman by Rafael Santi. It was chilly, but at least it didn't snow.
We also worked intesely on Wednesday. In the morning there was a presentation of local charities followed by integration through dance. Then we had a chance to go into classrooms and take part in lessons with our Italian and British friends. After lunch we visited a local charity dedicated to women and children, and in the evening we helped at Caritas.
On Thursday morning we watched a thought-provoking show prepared by Italian students. After lunch we took part in a debate "Is there a superior culture?" and in the evening we were invited to dinner at a restaurant.
Friday was the last day of work on the project. We chose the winner in the photo competition, sang our song and received the certificates of attendance. Afterwards there was a volleyball match Poland vs Italy (which we lost, unfortunately) and we said goodbye to the British students. In the afternoon we went sightseeing and shopping in Ancona with our Italian friends.
The last farewell took place on Saturday morning. Everybody cried but we promised one another to stay in touch. The journey home was long and tiring.
Now we are starting to prepare for the visit in Poland :)
